The Warehouse Loft Company is a small, Edmonton-based development company specializing in sustainable, quality building construction and construction management. We work closely with our design partner, Battle Lake Design Group, carrying out the building side of our integrated design/build approach to development. We strive to foster long-lasting relationships with our partners and suppliers, which we believe produces a supperior building product and supports our philosophy of integrated design and construction management.
We look to extend these special relationships to our ultimate partner - our clients. They will not only have the satisfaction of a quality product, but personalized service and relationship that helps build community and supports our holistic approach to sustainable development.
Battle Lake Design Group takes joy in designing buildings that are beautiful, functional, and energy-efficient. We design for a wide range of proven sustainable materials, but are known in Western Canada for our expertise in strawbale building design and construction. We have designed everything from warehouse loft condo converstions, to single family homes, to entire sustainable community planning. Battle Lake Design Group works closely with our partners, including The Warehouse Loft Company.
We take a holistic approach to building and site design, utilizing green technologies that not only make for better buildings, but are of proven quality and reliability over the long term. We have keen interest in the development of a diversity of living arrangements, including appropriate urban infill (including rowhousing), urban and rural co-housing communities, and mixed-use commercial/residential buildings.
We are a supplier of solar panels for domestic hot water and specialize in their use. We work closely to integrate geothermal heating and cooling when appropriate, low-VOC building materials, and increased insulation. We also make recommendations on sustainable interior finishes and energy-efficient appliances, plumbing, and lighting fixtures.
